You don’t need to be a politician, lawyer, or engineer to help fight corruption in public infrastructure. If you care about how your taxes are spent, you already have a reason to join OVOVTEC.

Here’s how you can get involved.

1. Join as an OVOVTEC Expert (For Qualified Volunteers)

If you’re ready to take on a more active role in monitoring projects in your town, you can apply to become an OVOVTEC expert.

Experts:

  • Undergo an application and vetting process to ensure trustworthiness.
  • Take responsibility for documenting public construction projects in their area.
  • Upload photos, videos, and notes about each project.
  • Tag projects as “up to standard,” “substandard,” or “ghost project” based on evidence.

This role is ideal for community leaders, student organizers, engineers, and volunteers who want to take ownership of local transparency efforts.

2. Participate as a Guest User

You don’t have to be an expert to make a difference. As a guest user, you can:

  • Browse project reports in your barangay, town, or province.
  • Leave comments and questions on existing reports.
  • Upvote or downvote posts based on how credible and well-documented they are.

Simply staying informed and sharing verified information with friends and neighbors is already a powerful contribution.

3. Help Collect Evidence on the Ground

Even if you’re not the one submitting reports, you can:

  • Take photos or videos when you pass by construction sites.
  • Share them with an OVOVTEC expert in your area.
  • Encourage your community to pay attention to project timelines and quality.

Small actions—like snapping a photo when you see an abandoned project—can add up.

4. Spread the Word

OVOVTEC grows stronger as more people use it. You can help by:

  • Talking about OVOVTEC with friends, family, and colleagues.
  • Inviting local organizations or schools to explore partnerships.
  • Sharing project pages or success stories on social media.

The more people know that a platform for transparency exists, the harder it becomes for ghost projects and substandard work to stay hidden.
